The day today at the new Hollow

Hey everyone, Stella here!

Today I went in the Hollow and to tell you the truth it lagged less than before ( i only refreshed like twice and then it was all good ) and there were 8 people online at the same time even!
I love it there, and today I made a new friend!

Her name is Pandora, and her and I had a nice chat until I left her for bit to come and post this here.
A lot of people were on and well, its fun having everyone back and seeing some random faces that always showed up years ago in the actual Hollow.
Well, here's a picture of the two of us sitting and chatting in Havendish Square ( p.s. how do you like my new outfit? )

Okay, now I'm going to leave you here because I need to help Dewdrop with her outfit ( she doesn't really like the one she has now so - help me God here. )

Video preview of the new Hollow

Hi guys!

Feels so good to be back! Anyways, yesterday I figured the best way to show you the Hollow was to film it.
So I did film a short video ( with really cool music ) about it, starring Amber Wondermist, and a friend of mine was also in it - experiencing a glitch at that moment - Bayberry.
I went through one meadow from each season just to show you that all of them work fine and you can go from one to the other easily ( as long as you click it and not an unnamed area then there'd be a glitch called 'travelling to place 0'),

In addition, I also provided you with a sneak peak at Summit Style's styles. At the moment there's not a very huge choice but for a start it's more than enough and as I have mentioned in previous posts you can change your outfit as many times as you'd like no matter if it says you have 100 Maple Leaves and 100 diamonds.

A look at the Hollow

Hi guys! Dewdrop here this time!

I was asked from Stella to replace her today and tell you what we went through in the new Hollow.
As you all know it's still a work-in-progress thing so we don't complain, hey we're at least back right?

 














Okay so, we're still experiencing Player 0 appearances - though we've never become it - and today we ran into some more weird issues.

It appears that when we're 3 or more on the same server every one of us has a different glitch going on. One can't talk, the other can't sit or fly and the third ( weirdest of all ) can actually do all this without a problem.

Today I was on firstly with Phoebe Twinklespark and Grace Bumbleblossom ( excuse me If I made a mistake with Grace's last name - thanks. ) and whenever we were all three online Phoebe and Grace couldn't talk, then one could but the other couldn't see it and then they'd freeze and wouldn't be able to fly.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything here, I'm merely trying to share with you all what you might go through when using this renewed Hollow and would kindly ask you to provide Wind Muddle ( via Facebook ) with feedback on the situation. He appreciates updates on things so he'd know what he should focus on with his teammate(s).

  

  Anyways, here is some new footage of me alone, the others and my friends. We were all in Havendish Square when these were taken and trust me it's actually fun to just hang out and talk on there.

Return of The Pixie Diaries ( Again )

Hi guys!

It's been an honor to have this blog and to have you as my readers, and well....Because of all that plus because my best friend is also back I'm returning as well YIPPIIIEEEE!

Alright now that I'm here, let's start off with the biggest news of all.

THE HOLLOW IS BACK. I REPEAT THE HOLLOW IS BACK!

Okay so all of you know that FairyABC was once upon a time a thing, however it didn't last very long.
BUT, our dear friend Wind Muddle who happens to be a whiz when it comes to recreating games, has surprised us by recreating the Hollow!
It still is a working progress, it's still missing a lot but we're at least able to go online make a fairy and chat while flying around the meadows.
All the meadows are available for visit, and within them only Schelly's Shears ( the hair salon + spa ), Diva Wings' Summit Style in Acorn Summit and Daisy's Dyes in Cherryblossom Heights are available for buying things.
You can change your fairy's looks for as many times as you want free of charge! Keep in mind though that for now the choice is down to only the primary hairstyles, and clothes so don't be harsh on our creator about it, he did say he's working on bringing the more good looking things back.
I was on there with my friends, and we were testing things out, gathering intell on bugs. I was and still am tipping Wind about any irregularities ingame such as glitches and other weird things, and for one thing, we all find it funny how one of the glitches is a ghost fairy 0. Also, some of the fairies have clones sometimes which is really weird.

To be honest I was shocked when I first read about this and it was just a day before it was actually opened. I couldn't believe what my friend Phoebe Twinklespark was going on about, I read her Facebook posts and couldn't even type a word because I was in a mix of emotions.
Who would've thought that after three years time this would happen? We all thought Disney was doing something and would surprise us by bringing the Hollow back themselves but, as we all saw that didn't happen at all.
Instead, they made a game ( Disney Infinity ) which sucks your money out of your wallets like a vacuum cleaner, no matter that it's looking super fun to play - you still need to buy the actual console figures to use them ingame which believe me over here at least are anything but cheap.

Anyhow, back to our topic - this new game. As I previously mentioned you can fly everywhere and talk, and use the emotion icons like the laughing one, angry one, the ones with food music note and rock paper scissors ( yes you can actually make your own game without the party game as it was before ).

But, there's one catch. For now we alone need to keep a server up in order to play. That's easy really - you go on this site over here - http://www.fairyabc.com/server/     -  and all you  do is choose a server name from the list and DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT close the tab, just go on the other site which is this - http://www.fairyabc.com/mainc/ - and play. If you happen to accidentally close the server tab the server will shut down disabling not only you  but everyone else who's been on it at the time to play.

So I basically gave you the links to the server and game site. Mind you again, its a work in progress thing so there are many glitches and issues so think of this as us helping Wind eliminate any potential problems ( or at least try to do so ),

In any case though, I'm sure we're all very grateful to him for creating our home again, our escape from the real world, into a world where we all knew each other and were friends.

In addition, I would like to also point out a thing about the chat. You can now chat and whisper. Also there aren't fairy profile pages and diary and home and furniture yet. Now, when you chat though there aren't any restrictions - like for example you can use offensive language - something that Disney didn't allow.
Maybe in time, this will be turned back on but even if it isn't we won't overdo it will we now?

Hollow Daily! - Happy New Year 2015 Pixie Pals!

Hey there guys! Sorry for not being around much, and um HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THOSE WHO ALREADY CELEBRATED IT! Lots of health, love, happiness, and may all your wishes come true in this new year. It's been great on here so far, this year has been a blast, there are a lot of things I'd remember it by, and well I hope this next one is even better. Hollow Daily! - A new story is on its way!

Hey there, Pixies! I am really sorry I haven't posted in a while, but time is really really not on my side. I've been trying to get to my computer, but every time I do I get distracted by other things ( such as my favorite bands ). So, today I finally decided to post something here. All I'm gonna tell you is - expect new stuff here ( maybe not real soon, but soon enough XD ). First on my list, is something I'm going to do today and that is - a new story for our story tab! I was inspired by Crystal Airshine's post today, from her story of how she joined Pixie Hollow. I am going to start my story similarly but it will be how I met her, because honestly she and Phoebe Twinkle have been my bestest friends on there. I do miss PH, even though I am way out of the age for that, but still I found myself a getaway at School Of Dragons. I am gonna try to make a review on it as well. It's a real cool game, and hey why not do it right now?

How I stumbled upon School Of Dragons and what it is

It was really odd actually, the way I found School Of Dragons. I was randomly searching for online games on my old PC, when I stumbled on to it. I had always wanted a game like that, ever since I became obsessed with Dreamworks Dragons Of Berk. Yeah, that's what the game is about actually. It's based on the two movies and the two-part TV series Riders & Defenders Of Berk. Okay, so back to the main point. It's a game where almost everything is free - when I sat almost ... You can have more than one dragon, but you get the first one ONLY IT FOR FREE. Then, you need to buy eggs to hatch from the store because the ones in the hatchery... Still needs payment aka membership, but If you become a member you won't need to spend money aka diamonds on eggs. Also, now that I mentioned it... Diamonds are one way of shopping - which require real world money to get or just log in every week every day and you will get an amount, but really the only thing you'd use them for is a new egg, a super advanced fishing rod or the best clothes. The other way, for which real world payment is not required is gold aka coins. You can buy almost anything with them : clothes, fish bait, dragon saddle and seeds for farming. Yes, like in PH there's farming ( in PH it was known as gardening ) , and you get to grow crops like dragon weeds, vegetables, you even get to raise farm animals like sheep and yacks.. Yeah, yacks are a kind of a cow ( sorry if I misspelled it O.O) that gives you milk , exactly like a regular cow only with fur and it's huge. Other than meeting friends , you get to make a best friend forever aka your very own dragon. You can basically get any dragon ( well depends if you're a member or not ). If you're a non member you can get only the basic aka first known aka created dragons : Zippleback - as you know Barf and Belch ( the twins' dragons) , Deadly Nadder - Stormfly, Astrid's dragon, Monstrous - Hookfang, Snotlout's dragon and the gronkle - Meatlug, Fishleg's dragon. They're all unique in their own way and I have two accounts with two deadly nadders  - Willow and Mikey. 

 

 You and your dragon - What can you do and how to grow it?

You grow your dragon on specified level. When it reaches level 5 , then you can grow it to Teen age. When it's level 10 ( or 15 , not sure I forgot ) you grow it to full aka adult. Then, you can actually fly on it and randomly shoot at people ( yeah, you can even shoot Hiccup just for fun :P ) , and technically you don't hurt them, there are no life points or as we know them as life bars with percents and stuff. However, your dragon has needs that need to be satisfied : two bars - happiness and hunger. You need to feed it fish and/or dragon nip aka weed. Dragon nip increases it's happiness too! You grow nip on your farm, and you get fish by fishing - there are two types of fishing at sea and at a lake, there are drying posts for fish and a camp fire that mark the fishing spots at both. One thing you need to know about fishing is that the first 50(or 80) gems you get as you fist enter the game, you need to use them for an improved fishing rod aka a rod with the drag mode. The first rod you own hasn't got that option, so you need to buy that one which costs more than half the gems you own. But it will all be worth it, because your fishing will go real easy, and if you do not purchase the rod, you'll never get a fish, trust me. Here, let me show you why you actually need the drag mode. 

 

See the red spaces up on the bar where the fish is? That means, that if that pointer thing goes in the red area, the fish will escape. So, to avoid losing your catch use the drag button ( as you can see it in the right low corner of the picture ) and the arrow thing or pointer , whatever, will return to the green part of the line and you'll get yourself dragon food. BUT there is something you should NEVER catch unless you choose a gronkle - EELS. Yep, all the dragons EXCEPT gronkles are scared of them, so feeding all dragons EXCEPT gronkles an eel will lower their happiness meter real low ( red zone low ).  Now , enough about the fishing, the happiness, you're probably wondering how to keep that up in the gold mode... Well, by petting your dragon and playing three games with it: Eel roast, Fire light chase and catch with a sort of a ball. The best ways to increase happiness fast is petting and Eel Roast ( don't worry dragons don't get scared of eels in the mini game ).  Now, here is a picture of a player bonding with her dragon ( this is not me, )

This is the hatchery, where your dragon is hatched and where you select its primary look aka color. Remember, once you choose and hatch it there's no returns. That's why the game itself warns you twice about this, asking you if it's the dragon you really want. To make it easier to choose, there's a test that Gobber has, he's inside the hatchery, at the entrance to the lava pit surrounded by egg nests. ( Check out videos on youtube to find your way around). But, most players have a favorite dragon so they choose like that. Anyways, the game is awesome, you can change your character as much as you want for free ( u cannot change your name so careful ) and you can also change your dragon as it grows each time for free, but when it's fully grown a change of appearance costs 15 gems.

Hope you liked it, and perhaps you can give the game a go, but keep in mind that it needs a minimum of 2GB of RAM to work properly or it will lag a lot.
